Summer Learning Programs at South St. Paul

Our district provides several options for students to keep them engaged in learning throughout the summer.

Summer programs are available for all students in different grade levels at Lincoln Center Elementary, Kaposia Education Center and South St. PauláSecondary.á

Academic Support Programs for Students in Grades 6, 7, and 8

Programs start on Monday, October 19, 2015, unless otherwise noted.

Open Computer Lab
Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in the 7th grade computer lab. áThis will serve as a place for stud
ents to work on skills related to Technology and Math. áThis is also a space for students to continue working on class projects and assignments. áThe lab will be supervised by a licensed staff member. á á á

Book Club
Meets every Monday from 2:40-4:10. Focus is to provide support to students reading different levels of text. Students are invited by staff and self-refer. áPlease contact Ms. Bennethum for more information regarding this program. ácbennethum@sspps.org á

CORE Focus
Classes run 2:40-4:10. Students will be assigned to work on skills related to that assigned curriculum area. Students are invited to attend by their teacher based on assessment data that week. áEach session has a teacher from 6th, 7th, and 8th grade revisiting the learning targets that were assessed for that week and working with the students.á
